Rex and Eleanor Parker played country and gospel music for over 50 years. They started performing together right after their 1941 marriage, appearing on radio and later TV.

In 1959, they decided to sing only sacred music and included their two daughters, Conizene and Rexana, in their group. Their show Songs for Salvation aired weekly for many years. After Rex died in 1999, Eleanor continued the show with her daughters until she passed away at age 96.
