This Huntington native is known for playing unusual characters, like Billy Bibbit in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and Grima Wormtongue in The Lord of the Rings movies.

His mother introduced him to theater, and he later studied at Marshall University, where he was encouraged by actress Conchata Ferrell to move to New York. There, he was discovered and cast in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, earning an Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe.

Dourif appeared in many films and TV shows, including Mississippi Burning, Deadwood, The X-Files, and as the voice of Chucky in the Child’s Play movies. He’s known for staying in character.
