The West Virginia Mine Wars Museum opened in 2015 in Matewan to preserve the history of the Mine Wars. It has the world's largest collection of Mine Wars artifacts and tells the story of the 1921 Battle of Blair Mountain and other major incidents in the miners' fight for union rights.

Visitors can explore exhibits with photos, artifacts, and personal stories about life in the coal camps and the Mine Wars. The museum also offers educational programs, community events, and research materials to help visitors learn about West Virginia's labor history.
