Randy Barnes (born June 16, 1966, in Charleston) is a two-time Olympic shot put medalist. A graduate of St. Albans High School, he set state records in the shot put and discus before competing at Texas A&M University.

Barnes won an Olympic silver medal in 1988 and a gold medal in 1996. He also set indoor and outdoor world shot put records that stood until 2021. His career was also marked by performance-enhancing drug violations, including a suspension in 1990 and a lifetime ban in 1998. After retiring, he competed in long-drive golf.
