“The Last Gallows: John Morgan’s Farewell” is a new dramatized documentary about West Virginia’s last public execution. John F. Morgan was hanged in 1897 for the triple hatchet murder of a Jackson County family. The 1-hour showing in the Ripley High Auditorium begins at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. It is not recommended for children.
