Caption: Charleston's Temple Israel commissioned Wolfgang Flor to craft this untitled piece in 1972. Both panels are 36" x 13" and were stained with sulfurous drainage water Flor found in old coal mines. The left panel depicts Abraham preparing to sacrifice his son Isaac; the righthand one shows Isaac's son Jacob fighting with an angel.
