It should be noted that contrary to the article’s implied declaration, the Tray Run Viaduct does not cross the Cheat River, it crosses, as the name implies, Tray Run which is a tributary to the Cheat River.

Now, I do concede that the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad does in deed cross the Cheat River about one mile South of this Viaduct, and it would be impossible to cross the Cheat River, travelling from the North without first crossing the Tray Run Viaduct.
