Huey Long did not die of a heart attack; he was assassinated in 1935 by the physician son of a judge whose district Long had gerrymandered out of existence.

Yes, Huey Long was assassinated. It was Earl Long, Blaze Starr’s lover, that died of the heart attack. I’m sorry that wasn’t clear in the text. I’ll edit that for clarity.
