I was disappointed to see no mention of Carrie Williams, J.R. Clifford and Marmaduke Dent’s 1898 decision. I once read that the equal pay decision greatly improved the availability and quality of Black teachers in West Virginia. I was wondering if it was true. http://wvmetronews.com/2015/11/30/remembering-an-early-civil-rights-victory-in-west-virginia/

There are articles on Marmaduke Dent and J.R. Clifford that both discuss the Carrie Williams case.
