My great grand father worked for meadow river lumber co. In 1914. He was crushed by falling logs and sent to miners hospital 2 where he died on March 24, 1914. My great grandmother was 4 days from giving birth to my grand mother and she had 6 children at home. I read that miners hospital 2 gave 24 hrs. To claim the body. I’m sure she couldn’t travel in her condition. If no one claims the body, then miners hospital will bury the body. My question is, would Meadow river lumber co. Claim him and bury him? Did meadow river lumber co. Keep those records or Miners hospital have a record of if he was claimed? I have been searching along time for where is my great grand father James Henry Platt buried? I would love to hear from anyone who has any knowledge of this. Thank you, Suzzette
