This abandoned railway runs near my home. There is a ghost that haunts one of the three tunnels nearby. He’s not visible, but he makes his presence known. A historian later told me they never found a worker killed over a card game and buried on the mountain. A good factual book on the C&C is West Virginia’s Coal & Coke Railroad by Alan Clarke, 2002.
