1888 Cheat River flood

A severe flood occurred in the West Fork and Monongahela River basins

The West Fork River joins the Tygart Valley River at Fairmont to form the Monongahela. A severe flood occurred in the West Fork and Monongahela River basins in July 1888. At Parsons, the Cheat River crested 6 feet above flood stage.
