After World War II major expansion of Stone & Thomas began under Wilbur Stone Jones, Joseph Shewell Gibbs, the other great-grandson, and people like Harry Cohen, to name just a few. Stone & Thomas had 37 stores at the time of its sale to Elder-Beerman.

Ms. Palumbo is 100 percent. Stone & Thomas had 21 stores when we were bought out in 1998, not 37 stores. I worked there from 1976 to 1998. Kent Ehman
