Mr.Jones, I am a direct descendent of Jacob Mann who bought the Greenville Saltpeter Caves from John Maddy. I have been researching my Mann family history for about seven years. At one time my father and his sister owned a farm on Buzzard’s Run in Greenville. I am a WV native. I have memories of Greenville, however, this was as a very young girl. I would like to know if there is a marker or reference of any kind to Jacob Mann at the Greenville Saltpeter Cave. As a side reference The Creekside Resort now stands on land once owned by James Mann a descendent of Jacob Mann. I kindly thank you for any information that you may have on Jacob Mann and the Greenville Saltpeter Cave as this is a newly found fact about the Mann family in my research. Martha Mann Perkins
