When they first messed with the Regatta was in 1993 what Haddad Riverfront park was built once they scaled it back for that project then the alchol restrictions were imposed sometime soon after that,like 94or95. I remember the last year I was there was when you could only drink in the cages/ designated drinking areas. I personally feel Kemp Melton was the cause of the down fall of the Sternwheel Regatta. Danny Jones just finally put it out of it’s misery.
