My father worked as a chemical scientist in Nitro, at the time of this first excavation. We lived nearby and he took us as small children to visit the site. I was only 4 years old but my memories are perfect of seeing human remains being unearthed. Why is there no mention of these? In fact we were told our visit was to an ‘Indian burial ground’.
